Legislative Analysis of the National Minimum Drinking Age Act

The National Minimum Drinking Age Act is perhaps the law that has the most impact on the day-to-day lives of America’s youth since it was signed into law on July 17, 1984. While the 21-year-old drinking age seems imbedded in American society, it is only a recent innovation. Most people do not know that the drinking age was only made a national law in 1984, and only after a determined battle by special interest groups. (more…)

The Start of Something New

To draw attention to some of the outstanding information already available on the NYRA website we are beginning an ongoing series of posts here on NYRA NYC where we will highlight one of these great resources once a week. No matter what else is going on with youth rights in NYC you can always count on finding something both interesting and useful when you visit us here.
